Brief history: 

Central Europe, Poland is east of Germany and was established mid-10th century. Between 1772 and 1795 Russia, Prussia, and Austria divided and ruled Poland. Poland gained its independence in 1918 and suffered during World War II when Germany invaded the country and several million people died, most of them Jews. The Soviet Union removed the Germans and in 1947 Poland became a Communist People’s Republic. In May 2004, Poland became an EU member, 15 years after the end of Communist rule.

Plot:
This is a humorous film about a 49-year old Polish man's day. Adam Miauczynski looks for the causes of his unhappiness and he finds his neighbors, his mother, his students, everyone but himself, to blame. But things won't turn around until he first takes a serious look at his own pathetic self.
