Unieros Photos: Connecting Startups Across Cultures

by onelove 0 Comments

It was a true pleasure and nice Unieros multicultural event, “Connecting Startups Across Cultures” on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

Over soulfood and drinks startups from Finland and Black American startups shared their cool cultural facts about their culture and company.

“What I learned is that startups must think locally as well as globally,” said an event attendee.

From the conversations, we learned that both Finnish people and Black American people are genuinely nice people once you get to know them.

Many thanks to Sente Advisory for the collaboration with Unieros. The presenting Black American startups included The Gray Matter Experience, Breaking Voices, and The Moon Rose Agency.

Unieros multicultural friends enjoyed a picnic during the amazing concert by Femi Kuti and the Positive Force on Monday, July 11, 2016 in Chicago’s Millennium Park.

During the picnic we enjoyed Nigerian traditional food jolloff rice, spinach stew and Nigerian stew chicken.

Femi Kuti’s band performed the Afrobeat songs, danced African beats on the stage and the audience loved it.

Unieros picnic was attended by a diverse group people from America, Latin America and Asia.

Enjoy photos from the picnic below.

Unieros multicultural picnics are a fun summer activity that connects people across cultures over ethnic food and world music.

The second Unieros Picnic of 2016 had great moments of food, music celebrating Puerto Rican and Colombian culture. Friends like our Unieros kids were helping in flag waving. So proud to see how beautiful kids are being raised to not only enjoy their own culture but learn about others.

We enjoyed Colombian chicken and Puerto Rican rice on the sharing blanket.

Thanks to all who came by to say hello, it was a crowded park with lots of groups.

The next Unieros picnic is Monday, July 11 with Nigerian AfroBeat musician, Femi Kuti. Sign up for our newsletter to get invitation.
