Chicago’s Greektown Chamber presents its 28th Annual Taste of Greektown in the West Loop neighborhood. The festival is a fun celebration of Greek culture food, music and traditions.

Enjoy traditional Hellenic food and spirits from local restaurants and bars on Halsted Street. There will also be entertainment including Greek bands, kids’ activities, and a gyros eating contest.

Foods to Try at Greek Fest

Besides gyros, Greek food include traditional dishes like moussaka which is a eggplant dish made with ground beef and a white sauce. For dessert, a sweet baklava pastry is a good option. It is a baked pastry often filled with layers of nuts and honey.
