First up, we have Jerk 22, a restaurant and bar that not only serves up jerk chicken in Kingston but also hosts some of the most memorable live music events in the city. From Tuesday night Latin music parties to Thursday jazz and reggae sessions, Jerk 22 makes for an entertaining night out. So, come for the food, stay for the music, and have a great time with your friends.

Next on our tour, we have Sugar Minott Youth Productions, a recording studio and record label founded by the late great Sugar Minott. This venue is the perfect place to catch live music performances from upcoming and established reggae artists. The intimate setting allows for an up-close and personal experience of local Jamaican reggae musicians. Moving on, we have Jangas Soundbar, where each night DJs spin a variety of music. Saturdays is hip hop and socca. Wednesdays DJ  spin Afrobeats and international music. On some occasions, live performers like Looga Man, a known Jamaican lyricist take the stage.  And, if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet the musicians and have a chat with them. Last but not least, Dubwise Cafe features independent musicians performing and spinning roots reggae music. The outdoor venue is a gem for experiencing talented independent artists such as Chris Malachi and  DJ who hosted a listening party for their project “Work n Play”.
