What to Expect at the 7th Annual Festival Cubano in Chicago



What can you look forward to at this year’s 7th Annual Festival Cubano in Chicago August 12-14, 2016? Lot’s of Latino music entertainment plus, look out for a a 90-foot Cuban sandwich on park grounds. Renowned musical headliners range from Cuban hip-hop, salsa music and merengue music.

Opening night on Friday, Cuban-American Juan Esteban will headline the Festival on Friday and Cuban hip-hop group Orishas, a hip hop group. Saturday night urban merengue artist Elvis Crespo will headline the festival. Sunday night Cuban folk singer Albita and famed Puerto-Rican “Princess of Salsa” La India. musician La India headlines.

Watch Unieros video from Albita’s 2010 performance at Festival Cubano. She will also perform as one of the 2016 Festival Cubano headliners.

Festival Cubano will be open Friday, August 12, 4 pm-10 pm, Saturday and Sunday

August 13 and 14, 10 am-10 pm. The festival will be held in Riis Park, the intersection of Fullerton Avenue and Narragansett on Chicago’s west side. Look for the Cuban flag.

Three-Day passes/General admission, $20; Three-Day VIP Pass, $200. Three-day passes go on sale Friday, June 24. Sales for Single Day and Single Day VIP Passes as well as prices for at-the- door sales will be announced soon. Free admission for children 12 and under.
